Users comments and reviews on article Enlarged prostate: Prostate Laser Surgery by SirGan
I've seen very little on the Internet about complications arising from BPH treatments. I have just been through a laser PVP procedure. I expected to recover quickly, have few residual symptoms, and be back at work in a few days. That did not happen. Instead, I hemorrhaged through my penis the following day, after the catheter was removed, and spent the next week in bed with a Foley bag at my side. Very uncomfortable. My case is not typical, the doctors say, but these things do happen.

If you are planning to have a procedure like this, listen to your doctor and don't place much stock in what you read about it on the Internet. It doesn't prepare you for the realities of when things go wrong.

Six weeks ago, I had laser prostate surgery. Everything went fine, and I had no pain and was home the next day without at catheter.
I am still experiencing abnormal feelings around the area of my surgery
Since my surgery, I have gained 8 pounds. Several decades prior to my surgery, my weight had never changed.

I had TURP, I am very happy of the outcome. My doctor in Tucson, AZ was Dr. Dunshee, one of the best that have ever known. my PAS was very very high 4 months after the surgery is down to 1.1. this is just amazing. I am very very happy and recommend the procuder to any one.
