I went to a plastic surgeon to have a facial cyst removed. He made an inch and half cut above it. Then he removed the cyst bed and stitched it up (I counted 22 stitches in all). He did make it very puffy where he was stitching it, and it looked pretty bad for several days. He said he bunched up the skin where he was stitching because after the stitches are removed, and the scar goes away, unless it was bunched up, the skin will often leave a hollow underneath it. That was a month ago. It healed really well, and you can hardly tell it.
