ll I had my hemorrhoidectomy sept 4th then on the 12th I went back to hospital for internal bleeding. It was so bad I could not walk more then a few feet without almost passing out. hen in Oct i went in for stenois surgery. They cute into the scar tissue that was causing the narrowing. went to that follow up just to be told I had to do the stenoises surgery again. now one day after round two I am in more pain then after the first one and incogont. I asked about thiat being a complication and was told no that they wre not going into the muscle so that would not happen. Well Not So Sure now. My doc has not done an exam on me except for one time and that was it. I asked if it was done during the last stenois surgery and was told that it had not. even after I had to go back to hopital for internal bleeding a week after the hemorrhoidectomy. well the first stenoises surgery I was in and out in 15 minutes. this time it took 1 hour. I am in more pain and bleeding then last time and I am incognet. I am hopping that it goes a way but not holding out much hope at this point. The Doc said every thing llked fine when she did the exam but what took 45 extra minutes and why am I having more trouble after thes second one? anyone have some input??

If an inventor could invent some device or equipment to flush out hard fecal matters safely and efficiently that will be a breakthrough. That will avoid all kinds of problems connected with constipation which is a huge problem due to this modern busy life.
Yes, it has been 13 weeks and I have serious constipation problems. I go once or twice a week and it is a 2-3 hour procedure when I do. I can't go without enamas and now, today, starting stool softners. Before the surgery, I went 1-2 a days and never in my life had constipation.
I take stool softeners (Mag O7 - a magnesium supplement that pulls water into the digestive system to keep it soft) every day. When I try to back off on the softeners, I get stopped up and have to resort to fleet enemas and magnesium citrate. I feel like I'm becoming obsessed over my bathroom habits and routinely wake up at night worrying about if I'll have a BM the next day.
It's not easy to deal with as you know. Hopefully I'll get answers on Friday. I hope everyone else does too
Did you get the answer? How is it doing?
He wants to let things sit for a bit. Dilations done too frequently can cause the muscles to get stretched and not work right. So I have 3 months of no probing. Most days I manage okay, although I'm apprehensive every morning as to whether I'll have a BM or will need some additional help from an enema. My doctor hopes that over the next 3 months my BMs will both soften the scar tissue and stretch it out a bit. If it doesn't help, then my only option is more surgery (anoplasty) where he'll remove part of the scar tissue, take tissue and skin from my butt cheek and use that as a flap to repair things internally. He said the recovery for that is 2 weeks of doing little to nothing and another 6 to 8 weeks before the pain is gone.
So you are now in 3 months waiting for improvements. How is it going despite this stenosis? Do you feel ok during the day? I mean is there any discomfort or pain? Is only BM a problem in your life now?
As far as the actual hemorrhoid surgery went, I felt much better after a couple of weeks and had little to no discomfort after 4 weeks. That was as long as I kept my BMs soft enough to come out.
I would recommend to anyone getting hemorrhoid surgery that you monitor your BMs and let the doctor know right away if it seems too narrow and get it treated quickly. It wasn't until my 3rd post-op visit that the doctor finally examined me and verified the problem. Before that he just kept saying to give it more time.
This is something I got as reply from him as well. Moreover I was using enemas to get movement quicker and make a schedule so I am not suffering from pain in work. I did enema every eveninig in order to know, I don't have to have BM in office next day. I think that is sort of problem, I was too afraid from pain, so made BM very soft, and it caused stenosis now.
I have to push hard as well and my poop is like big finger of man, 1.8 - 2cm I think.
I had external hemorrhoids removed, which were located on the right side, so almost all right side tissue was removed and had open wound, which is still not healed up. (2.5 months). Now it feels better in regards of pain, but this stupid stenosis makes me worry more and more. After today pushing I got left external hemorrhoid enlarged! I am going to call my doctor tomorrow morning.
