My husband was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis 2 1/2 years back and was prescribed methotrexate for about one year, but not a very large dose. It has been 1 1/2 year now that he has discontinued it and i was wanted to know if its saf to conceive another child for me now. i was told that the medicine causes birth defects and we should wiat for atleast 6 months after discontiuing it and even though it has been moe than 6b months now i m still very scared of conceiving. how safe is it to conceive now and do u think the medicine has any kind of effect on the sperm count? will it be difficult to conceive?
