Im a 20 yr old female, currently take only Seasonale birth control. I have constantly for about 2-3 weeks been experiencing extreme fatigue, horrible headaches, and I feel like the room is spinning alot. I went to the doctor where they tested my blood sugar, tested to see if I was anemic, tested my thyroid, and tested me for mono. All of these things were normal or negative results. Im becoming very frustrated because I know that something is wrong for me to feel this way, but we cannot seem to figure out the problem. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

This seems to be common in females taking birth control. I've been on Yasmin for almost a year now and I've just recently started having the same symptoms. I've passed out once and feel sick constantly if I don't eat something every hour or so. I have been getting bad headaches and I am definitely NOT pregnant as I still have regular periods. If anyone knows what's wrong please post it

Hi ya, I have has similar problems in the past. Until my doctor took me off the contraceptive pill and put me on a different one. Try asking your doctors to change your pill if not ask about the different types of contraceptives. The pill isnt for everyone. Good Luck! :-)

I have been on Seasonale, which then went generic and was/is available as Seasonique and/or some other names that I can't recall. It doesn't matter what they call it, or which pill you are on, they all mess with your adrenal glands and your nutrient uptake -- therefore, your energy levels. I just quit 2 weeks ago, and I feel better than ever! I can sleep again, I am not having extreme headaches and my debilitating fatigue has disappeared! Yay! Hey, I just saw that the Today Sponge (see the "Sponge-worthy" episode of Seinfeld years ago) -- well, it's back! It's now being made in New York and is available at CVS and RiteAid! I'm in! I would highly recommend going off the hormone-based pills, unless medical needs make it worth the loss of energy cost (some people, I understand, need to be on the pill for control of other more serious conditions). But, otherwise, I'd recommend finding another option. I am happing being pill-free!!!!

I am 18 on ortho tricyclen lo. I have just over the past few days been experiencing the same things and I think it might be my birth control. I have also been having some bleeding and I have a doctors appointment tomorrow to switch my birth control to the Nuva Ring. I will re post and tell you if it gets any better

how long did it take for your headaches and symptoms to dissappear after you stopped using the birth control?

I just started on birth control and I'm already having dizzy spells and headaches. The birth control that I take is the newest one. And as a suggestion, well my sister told me that if your not feeling well then you should stop taking it, but really it's up to you.
