what's up homie.. I am now experiencing the same thing right now. This has been like this for about 2 wks now. I don't understand because I haven't had sex for a while. Although I have this tingly feeling, I also have to pee a lot. Regardless if I drink something or not, I still have to pee. I don't know what to do because it doesn't hurt, it's just a wierd feeling. What should I do?

Hey everyone I had the same problem I've been under heavy medication ciprofloxacin 250 mg twice a day for a UTI it helped me a bit but this drug has a lot of side effects but I also took a lot of cranberry juice and water every day I have to pee a lot but that cause I drink a lot ... I don't have the tingling anymore but sometimes when I go to urinate it feels a bit painful not burning but painful while urinating and at the end but after a couple of seconds everything goes away. the cranberry juice helped me a lot I may need more to heal this pain while peeing.

Thought I would share my experience, maybe it will help.

Have been experiencing a itch/ tingle in the Urethra for over six months.
Sometimes the tingling can also be felt in the bladder with some associated discomfort in the groin , testicles , abdomen and Flanks (Kidney Area).

All STD's or possible infections have reported negative ; UTI, Chlamydia, Gonnorhea , NSU, Trichomoniasis, Herpers , HPV, Adreno virus , Micoplasma, HIV and Hep.
I have also been treated for many of these issues : 3 x courses Azithromycin, 2 x Long Courses Doxycycline, course of Flagyl, and a course of Cephalosporin - these antibiotics well and truly should have killed anything  !!!!

(May I stress at this time that all of you be treated for Trichomoniasis as it is very hard to find in a Males urethra, this parasite most certainly could be causing your Tingling issues and is best ruled out with a 1 x day course of Flagyl).

Symptoms persisted so next step was a cystoscopy - no inflammation, narrowing or obstruction of the urethra  or abnormalities found at this time.
MRI was also performed no abnormalities and no Kidney stones.

It was at this time that I looked at some alternative treatment and I would like to say I have encountered some significant relief :

Step 1  ;   was perscribed a 90 day course of very low dose 10mg Anti-depressants.
The Antidepressant actually helps in relaxing the abdominal muscles so there is reduced tension on your waterworks.

Step 2 :  By Chance I saw a Chiropractor for a shoulder issue who mentioned to me at the time that one of my back muscles was weak and actually interfering with the kidney, he then asked " Have you been having any issues with your bladder / Urethra" ?
Turns out areas of the spine and certain back muscles have nerve endings that are felt in the Urethra, Tip of penis, Ballder or Kidneys.
He then applied some manipulation techniques and gave me some exercises to do to strengthen my core.
Boy - it's helped.
I can not stress how important exercise is, sitting for long durations always did seem to make things worse atleast for me..

Step 3 : Have your prostate checked.  It is very common for inflammation of the prostate to also cause these sensations. The Prostate is also difficult to penetrate with general antibiotics because of its acidic nature.
If the prostate is enlarged then your urologist will need to check the prostate fluid to determine if the inflammation is Non Bacterial or Bacterial (CHalmydia, Gonnorhea, E-coli etc......) and then treat accordingly. Unfortunately in some instances this sensation will be relieved but may reappear

Step 4:  I have NO DOUBT that 80% of this sensation is stress/anxiety relate, we may say we are not stressed about it but then again we are all researching this topic for the same reason whether we like it or not - it is almost constantly on our mind and we are fearful that we are infected or have infected some one else.  Time to move on and accept that we may have an issue and dwelling on it is in fact blowing it way out of proportion.

Finally step 5 :  Rest : what I mean by rest is cut out alcohol, reduce sex, stop self examining, stop tugging and let the nerve endings settle. This wont be forever maybe 2-8 weeks. Everyone is different.

All I can say is that I am on the way to recovery and fell 60% better.
Hope it lasts and hope this helps,

I strongly agree with the last reply. My experience was quite the same... I was with this problem for almost a year, constant urge to urinate (somtimes 20x a day) and tingling inside the urethra.
After all kinds of tests and treatments (and lots of money spent on this) nothing worked. I decided to visit a psychiatrist because I was very depressed I didnt know what to do anymore.
I started to take clonazepam 1mg and escitalopram 15mg, everyday before sleep... in less than one week I was not feeling any symptom. I need to keep taking these medicines for some months to treat my anxiety and to avoid it happen again... it's hard to believe that our mind can cause these issues on our body, but in my case, it was the problem and  I'm feeling 100% now, 1 month after I started =]

Hi

I am 27

I have the same problem, I was treated for nonspecific urethritus but my STI results came back clear. The STI clinic said they can't do anything for me as there is no infection present.

I think it may be nerve damage or low circulation. the end of your penis is very sensitive and too much friction can cause the nerve endings to get damaged which may cause the tingling. I had a very vigorous time and its only since then I have had the tingling.

Also if you stress about it then it somehow becomes worse. I guess its a part of the body where you never forget lol

I am going to start a healthy lifestyle getting plenty of excrsize and eating right to see if it helps oo I am also going to ditch the fags I guess they are not helping

For about a year now I've had this incredibly annoying sensation inside my penis around the top area going down to maybe just below the glans. It's almost as if I feel that I need to pee even though my bladder feels completely empty. It never goes away. I've had my self checked. First time a doctor said that there was a "little bit of an infection", then he gave me antibiotics. I came back after the symptoms hadn't gone away. Sometimes it stings very slightly when i urinate but not painyfully. The doctor said the infection was gone in the urine test. I then went to a urethral doctor and they performd a cystoscopy but didn't find anything wrong. after that I went to std clinic where they did tests for the typical stds but didn't find anything and they didnt have a clue of what it could be. I really cant relax with it, but it's definitely not pscyhological. i have also noticed since i got this sensation i cant last anywhere near aas long during sex or masturbation, so badly that I dont even bother, but I wouldnt care if i could just get rid of this sensation/irritation/ TINGLING.
Oh and one thing is that the std clinic they said it could be nonspecific urethritis if the std tests came back negative whcih they did. so they gave me zithromax 1g(1 day) and cipro for 5 days, it did not eliminate this feeling. So they concluded that it wasnt nonspecific urethritis because NSU wouldve disappeared with the zithromax.

I've searched the internet and I can't find anything relevant, and was hoping that maybe you guys know something. I'm 21 years old.

if anyone could help me find a solution or what I have and remove this feeling I would be so incredibly thankful, id even pay a damn reward (thats how sick and tired I am of this).

For everyone who has been experiencing the urge to urinate even when bladder is empty, pressure in urethra, tingling in testicles and slight burning or irritation when urinating, I also saw my urologist and went through most of the same tests and antibiotics that many others have posted about. A nurse practitioner mentioned that I might be suffering from interstitial cystitis. I read up on it and could see that I had many similar symptoms. She prescribed Vesicare, after previously prescribing Rapiflo and previously Cipro. My sense was that the symptoms that I was experiencing were largely related to diet and stress. I am 47, manage about 15 employees and had recently lost my dog who passed away from cancer. Before taking another prescription I decided to change my diet and cut out the following: coffee (including decaf), alcohol, citrus fruit, carbonated beverages and most spicy foods. All of the above are bladder irritants. I also increased my cardiovascular exercise and continued to do weight training. I focused on performing more core exercises which have strengthened my lower back and my upper and lower abdominals. Over the course of the first two to three weeks I continued to suffer from the same symptoms mentioned above. Some days they were milder and other days they were more severe. Some days I really felt like there was no way that I could function feeling like that 24/7. Gradually the symptoms got milder but still present. About 5 days before I was scheduled to see a new urologist the symptoms disappeared. I figured I was cured so I had a soda and some fruit for lunch one day. That night all of the symptoms returned and remained for two days. I went to see my new urologist and he told me that he sees these symptoms frequently and it is mainly related to stress and diet. He did prescribe .25mg of an antidepressant called Amitriptylene which I cut in half and take before bed. The good news is that in the last 4 days all of the symptoms have again completely disappeared. This is unbelievable because for the previous three months I had felt all of the same symptoms every day either mildly or more severely. I also want to mention that I was a pretty heavy coffee drinker, probably 5 - 6 cups a day of caffeinated and decaf coffee, lots of acidity in the coffee. Not sure if the problem is solved as its only been a few days but its just a relief to seem to have found a strong connection between diet, stress and all of the symptoms. Hope this helps everyone out. Don't allow your doctors to prescribe medications without first researching the problems yourself. My original urologist never even really asked about my diet, didn't ask about stress, didn't ask if I had suffered any losses recently. They went straight for the cystoscopy and then a lithotripsy to get rid of a small, probably mostly harmless kidney stone. Total billable charges in excess of $5K. Search the web for answers and look for a doctor who will ask questions and listen. Wish you all the best!

Wow, I'm experiencing this too. For the second time! It's lasted for about three weeks now, and it is driving me insane!!!

I wake up in a panic at night because it somewhat feels like I'm urinating or maybe even ejaculating, when it's at it's worst. I'm constantly going to the bathroom during the day on the off chance that I actually do have to urinate. It's a constant dull tickling/vibrating sensation similar to the one you get after you've been holding your urine for a long time and finally get the chance to urinate. And is pretty much constant.

At work I'm also constantly having to check and make sure my bladder hasn't just started emptying itself! It makes me so self conscious. I had a similar sensation about 4 years ago and went to a urologist who also decided to just try a broad spectrum antibiotic. It was no where near as strong as this, and did not last as long. In both situations though I have had no sexual partners in several months, and it just seemingly came out of nowhere.

It almost feels like a twitching muscle at times, so I thought maybe my potassium was high, or something along those likes. All electrolytes were normal, I have no other symptoms anywhere else, and I'm starting to wonder if I'm just going to have a vibrating tingly bladder/penis for the rest of my life.
