I am extremely glad you are all twitching!!! A couple of months ago every time I woke up my left pinky twitched. Finally it went away. Then about 2 weeks ago I went on a very bumpy, fast ride at an amusement park and the next day I woke up and my left eye was twitching and my left upper arm. The left eye lasted a few days but the left arm is still twitchy. So today I have a very very rough day. I work in a law firm which can be hectic- I do family law and medical malpractice and it is very emotionally draining. I hear the saddest things possible. Also, two nights ago neighbor was screaming and horrible to me and I had to call the police and today I had to type everything out and it really bothered me. I'm sweet and kind and super friendly. These two women just were so horrible.... Frankly it's been a bad week. So I'm sitting on the couch trying to eat some dinner tonight and my entire left side around my rib area is twitching BAD. I cannot get pregnant so it's not that. But as the person before me stated, it does feel like a baby inside there kicking me massively- and I can also feel it if I put my hand there- it is f r e a k y ! Wonder what we are all experiencing! Someone let me know if you find out. I'm thinking stress by reading some of the replies. I hope so. Parkinson's runs in my family. My father had it and passed away 2 yrs ago and my grandfather had it when I was a kid. Please please please don't let it be that. Thank you all for coming on here and sharing this all. It really calmed me down. At least for now!

I have this thing as well ,whatever it is. It started this morning. Im currently completing my hsc and just lately i've under a degree of stress and i've i was up late last night doing study and consequently, stressing! I've been suffering with pelvic pain for over a year now, and just over the last few weeks have also been experiencing these fantom baby twitches/kicks.  It felt exactly like the pops, kicks and flutters I experience around 18 - 20 weeks of pregnancy with both my sons.  I have the implant in my arm, but I too was absolutely convinced I was pregnant, the test was negative, but I got an ultra scan & same as everyone else - definately no baby.  My symptoms are hot flushes accompanied by the shakes, complete lack of energy, pain in my lower abdomen & now these twitches.  My doctors have narrowed it down to either endometriosis, Irritable bowel syndrome or irritable bladder. I've been takin Buscopan for IBS for a week with no change yet, so my doctor is prescribing a different one for me to try. They have said if the IBS tablets don't work after for months I will have a Laparoscopy (key hole surgery) to look for endometriosis.  Im hoping this may help some of you guys as there are hundreds of comments of these symptoms with no answers.  The doc said IBS combine with stress can cause all sorts of unusual symptoms and this sounds like the most likely cause for mine.  Fingers crossed this time. Oh Im from the UK by the way.

hi i am a 20yo female and I have been having this symptom for at least a year now. doctors just keep telling me it's because I'm so skinny and small. some days it's worse than others. I can see it laying down or standing up. my sister says that it feels like a baby is kicking inside of me. I found that it becomes more obvious after I've gone a long period without eating. honestly, I think it's just a heartbeat that can be felt in smaller people because we have less covering it up. but what scares me is once in a while, my lower left abdomen (where the pulsing is) sometimes distends about an inch further out than my right. when this happens, it gets sore in that area and gets rock hard. when compared to my right side, it looks like something is REALLY wrong. unfortunately, I haven't been able to get a doctor to see this yet, so they just tell me I'm imagining it. I don't know if I am just worrying over nothing or not.. anybody find an answer yet?

I don't want to scare anyone, this is just one possible explanation out of many, but stomach twitching and muscle spasms can be due to a parasite infection of the intestines. Also magnesium deficiency. There's most certainly many more reasons for twitching sensations, though, this is two of them.

Well i also got this twitching below my rib on the left side I barely got it yesterday. Im concerned if it might be something serious. By the way im a guy so of course i cant be pregnant. I think it could either be the new nootropics i started using or maybe its cause i tend to wait a while before i use the restroom.

my actual stomach is twitching, anyone know what that might be? The actual stomach where the food goes as soon as you swallow it. Because everyone else is describing ABDOMINAL twitching and the unlikelihood of pregnancy which does not occur in the stomach....

"When it is in the abdominal area, the abdominal muscles are having these fasciculations." So that's what's happening when a person's stomach is twitching. Dr. Kantor continues: "Fasciculations can appear in almost any muscle." With that said, this experience is actually a muscle twitching in the stomach area of the body, rather than an internal organ.

"Fasciculations can be a normal thing (it just feels strange); it can be due to dehydration, aging or to more serious (usually not life-threatening or life-altering) causes. When we overuse a muscle, it can twitch. So, just like your leg muscles may twitch after a long run, if you put strain on your midsection, your abdominal muscles may twitch."

In short, the sensation of your stomach twitching is absolutely no cause for alarm or fear, even though it can be very annoying.

In rare cases, a twitch coming from the stomach area can be a symptom of a more serious condition such as a motor neuron disease, says Dr. Kantor. If that stomach twitching is really bothering you, see a neurologist to rule out any disease process and put your mind at ease. However, chances are, if your stomach muscles have been twitching, it's a perfectly benign situation.

"This is why it is important to relax, not jump to conclusions, and to talk to your primary care doctor or neurologist about it," says Dr. Kantor.

I also been experiencing twitching in my left abdominal quadrant right below my ribs, I don't exercise but it's occurred for at least 2 months now. Esp when I'm hungry and when I'm sitting. It doesn't hurt but it is annoying. I'm not good at hydrating myself so I wouldn't be surprised if it dehydration what I am scared for is worms of some sort stuck in my gut. So there the explanation for anxiety.
