My wife was 6 months pregnant when all of a sudden her stomach started to spasm (twitching and moving) for periods of 10 seconds or greater for about 15 to 20 minutes straight. We freaked and ran to the emergency room as fast as we could (this wasn't the baby kicking inside of her stomach which we are familiar with and able to recognize). After all the safety procedures and protocols they took to make sure the baby was okay, the doctors stated it was the baby passing gas or burping inside of her.
Lol, it was a scary experience though at that moment. True wisdom or advice that I can give anyone woman who's pregnant that is experiencing anything out the ordinary with their physical or mental health is to address the problem immediately. It is the most safe and responsible thing anyone can do when they're pregnant (prenatal care too!) Best of luck........

I'm read that it's just your muscles twitching most likely from stress, anxitey, or dehydration. It's happening to me and I think mine is dehydration because I hardly drink water. Hope this helped :) to find out more go look up why is my stomach twitching and it should be the first link. Btw I'm like 11 so I know it's not a baby

I found this page because I was searching for the cause of my stomach twitch. Also not pregnant. In addition to comments about anxiety and stress, I also want to point out that twitching can happen when electrolytes are low. I've heard low potassiam or magnesium can cause muscle spasms. I notice I get random spasms when dieting if not getting enough of these. Calmag or Natural Calm (magnesium only) helps. I'll try it now to see if it helps the stomach spasms, too.
