My son is 11. He is always moving and cant stand still. When he was younger he would always pirouette down the road but now isnt cool! he still cant walk in a straight line though, he weaves his way to things. When he shows me his homework book hes swinging around on his feet, moving his body all the time. the only time he is still is if he sat down on the x box or asleep

is this normal or is it a medical problem? When he was a child the school felt there greatest achievement in the year was to get him to sit still on the carpet which we thought funny but now it concerns me.
Well have you consider putting him on some sort of sport activities? Maybe he just has so much energy, that he can put in physical activity.
Soccer or baseball, or maybe he can be a really fast runner :-)

Not sure that this is medical, but really hope that it isn't. Children do sometimes have so much energy that we can not imagine.

Hi:
He sounds like a happy boy. That's great ! I agree with the other poster. Channel that energy. He sounds like a true "bodily kinesthetic" type. You can Google that word for more info. Unless he is failing in multiple environment, I would leave him alone. Channel that energy should help a lot. However, you would still want to model and discuss appropriateness in different situations, so that he won't be a socially retarded, for lack of a better term. I think he'll be fine. I had two non-traditional boys. One of them, who is now 23, is still filled with movement. I watch him and I don't believe he stops moving until he lays down for bed. I watch him when he's on his cell phone and he paces continually while he's talking. It's amazing to watch. He is bright and very successful in social situations. I hope this gives you comfort and help....Good luck !
