I just started the Smart for Life Cookie diet last Thursday and I have already lost 6 of the 150 I need to lose. I checked with my doctor before I did this. They are medically supervised. It was either this or major surgery which is irreversible. It is not just the cookies, water, green veggies and 6 oz of lean protein. they have a multi-vitamin and add vitamin b-6.
If I thought this was bad, I wouldn't stay on it, but when you have the bariatirc surgery, you are eating much less than 800 calories to start.
The people at the center are very supportive and have already called to see how I was doing. I will try and check in later to let you know how I am doing.

I've lost 13 lbs on the Smart For Life cookie diet. They have other choices
than just cookies. They have soups, shakes and pudding.
The dinner has plenty of food to eat and the cookies are good also.
The plan is easy and it works if you follow it.
I'll keep you posted on my continued weight loss.

A cookie diet?? 800 calories?? Yes you can lose weight because you aren't eating anything. You're losing water and muscle weight. I could get someone to lose weight eating 800 calories of ice cream as well. Doesn't mean they are going to keep it off. It doesn't mean it is good for them as well.

To lose weight, more specifically fat, you are going to have to eat food. Not some special diet. Consult with a nutritionist or dietician and find out what you need to eat to lose fat safely and keep it off.

I tried the cookie diet and it really works for me. It was expensive tho’. I found a “generic” version of the cookie at RandDDietCookie.com and it works just as well (maybe better?)! And it’s a LOT cheaper! It took a couple of days to get used to just eating the cookies during the day. I wasn’t hungry (the cookies took care of that) it was more just getting used to not eating meals. After a couple of days I had to remind myself to eat a cookie! It was such a relief not to have to worry about “what to eat” all day long.
I don’t agree that losing weight the slow way is the best way for everyone. Slow doesn’t work for me. I would rather lose the weight quickly then worry about a maintenance program! I lost 10 pounds with the cookie diet and now I have lost 20 more with the R and D Diet Cookie. 10 more and I will be done!

I've been on the R&D Diet Cookies for a couple of months now. That actually means I take most weekends off. First I want to say that there is no medical evidence that rapid weight loss is bad for you (if you are otherwise healthy). A very low calorie diet may not be optimum but neither is being very overweight. The cookies are nutritional (much more than a burger or cheetos!). I feel good when I am eating the cookies and they teach me portion control. Yes, if you could live on 800 calories of icecream a day you would lose weight too but get serious... you couldn't live on 800 of calories of icecream. The cookies are nutritional and they contain nothing that stimulates your appetite.

I've also had good success with the R&D Diet Cookie. I had trouble losing weight after my 2nd child and I started using the cookies back in December when I first heard about them. I've lost 18 lbs and I have to admit it has been pretty effortless. Those of you who have done Atkins correctly will understand when I say that the feeling I have with the cookies reminds me of how I felt when in ketosis... satisfied, energetic, not even thinking about food. That's how satisfying the cookies are. The R&D Diet Cookies are better because you can eat what other people eat (you're not limited like Atkins). I recommend them.

OK guys... you've sold me. I just ordered a month of the r and d diet cookie and I hope it will be as easy as you say... I'm going to hold you to it! I will let you know each week how I'm doing and what I think of the program. Wish me luck!

Hi Guys, sorry I haven't been updating you but it's been hectic! I got my R&D Cookies and had a little trouble getting into the groove for the first 2 or 3 days... then... wow! I've lost 21 lbs and I'm still going. I feel great, I look even better. I'm so glad I tried these. I guess my 1 suggestion is not to worry if you eat 8 to 10 the first day or 2. If you are a heavy eater it takes a little getting used to. But by day 4 I really had to remind myself to eat more than 3 or 4! I will get back next month and let you know how it's going.

It's me again... I wanted to let ya'll know I lost a total of 30 lbs right off the bat and it was painless! I'm in a "holding" pattern right now because there are too many vacations, weddings, and family reunions going on. I still use the R&D cookies 1 or 2 a day to keep my eating in check. I got this suggestion off their website. I haven't gained any of it back! After this summer I will go after the last 20 lbs and will let ya'll know how it goes. The R&D diet cookie is a totally different approach to weight loss. I guess what I like about it is they advocate quick weight loss. It makes sense to me that if the weight is coming off quickly we are more inclined to stay on it. Also, make sure you order the R&D Diet Cookies because they don't contain anything that promotes hunger. Some of the other cookie diet companies contain sugar!

Me again. Had to come back and share...
First off, I haven't lost any more weight but I haven't been trying either. I don't know how to explain it but ever since I went on the R&D Diet Cookies I haven't been obsessing over food anymore! I've just had a wonderful summer where food wasn't a major concern (good or bad!). More importantly, I haven't gained any of the weight back! I feel great. I look great. My clothes look so much better on me. I wore a bathing suit at the coast for the first time in 15 years! If I lose the rest of my goal weight, great... but if I don't, I'm fine with it too!
I still use the cookies most days. I start the day with 1 or 2. I found that when I start with them, the rest of the day I'm not craving or even thinking about food. Like I said, it's hard to explain. I just am so thankful that I finally found something that has given me back control!!! I recommend them to anyone who is healthy and is tired of the losing and gaining back cycle. I am so comfortable with my eating now... I know I will never gain those 30 lbs back!

All who are on the cookie diet I am on my way to trying it! I am so excited bc the R&D or R & D cookies are much more affordeable than Dr. Siegal's. :) I do have a week's worth of Dr. Siegal's shakes that I am going to start with then continue w/the cookies from R & D :) I will leave a full review of these cookies everywhere :) Amazon, google, here, there and everywhere :) Can anyone email me before and after pics of your success on the cookie diet? i saw a few when i googled but just curious as to the real people out there on this forum that have tried it! :) thanks! You go girl! I'm rooting for you! I did really well during the holidays and didn't gain any of my 30 lbs back! I may try those last 20 this year. I still recommend the R&D Diet Cookies to everyone who has a problem relationship with food. And probably mostly those who have a large amount of weight to lose.... not just 10 - 15 lbs (even tho' it would work for you too!)

Thanks CindyR!!! I have a box of the dr. siegal cookies, 1 box of shakes & then I am going to buy the week of R & D since they are so much cheaper & hopefully that will work too :-) :O so you haven't gained any of the weight back? I think it's really a change period I mean I go to the gym 2-3x a week so it's not like I am scared :-( of the gym but I am only maintaining my weight not losing or gaining just stuck and no i haven't overhauled my diet, however I think that if I lose the 20-30 lbs that I want to lose that will be motivation enough for me to keep those lbs. from coming back! XD If my weight starts to creep then I will just get some cookies here and there. I also heard about this tea called GAT Tea, it helps w/IBS (which I have) gas, bloating, blood sugar, and tons of other things i ordered a bag and will post a review about it once I have seen its effects. Thanks for your support and I will post when I start the diet :-) :-D
