My wife had a cortisone shot for rotator cup pain on Monday. She had her semi-annual cholesterol blood test Tuesday morning with the result showing an elevated blood level. I told the Dr. about the shot but I'm sure he was too busy to acknowledge the information...now they want her to take a 2 hour blood glucose test...I believe this situation is caused by the shot.

What is your recommendation on this 2 hour test. She HAS NEVER had this problem in 7 years of regular blood tests.

TOBAR
These shots are known to temporarily raise your glucose level.  It will subside.  I am diabetic, the doctor informed me this will be temporary and to take no extra meds and to leave it alone.  Great news..... just temporary.
