Mine started when I started vaping to... Very strange and kinda scary since nobody knows what they are it leads me to believe it might be something unknown yet since vaping is fairly new

It’s caused by smoking

Actually, I have never smoked in my life. I was raised with one parent as a smoker, but he stopped about 2 or 3 years ago and I still get them.

your lungs naturally produce moisture (it's needed for optimum breathing) & some people 'produce' varying amounts. People that produce lower mounts than needed are the ones you know using a humidifier & obviously those at middle of the range are fine! So since you are vaping it could be because of the moisture the vape creates in your lungs.

I was going to write the same thing. It has NOTHING to do with our tonsils. They like the size of tiny beads or bb's, are clear to cloudy and r squishy but hard to pop or break open. I get them constantly and am terrified it is going to mean that something is wrong with my lungs. I have had asthma since I was a kid, but started smoking cigarettes at age 11 and I'm now 36 now so I have been smoker for 25 years. And I have a lot of what I think feels like bad chest colds, a few times a year. And I have trouble breathing if I laugh to hard, try to run or exercise a lot etc. But I cough those things up constantly and don't now why. Hope someone can figure them out.

Yep same here. Started a couple months ago. Now im starting to get a weird metal taste everytime i cough them up. Thought it was cause I vaped a lot so I quit that but i guess its the bud doing it. I also get a shortness of breath every so often. But nothing will stop me from smoking im married to mary jane❤ forever and always

I started looking online for the same exact thing. I have smoked both bud and cigarettes and I have vaped on and off all three for pretty much most of my life. I don’t get horrible smokers cough but usually in the mornings (sometimes it will happen during the day randomly if I’ve smoked a lot of anything) and since I can’t seem to find anything but posts like these rather than actual medical resources I’m going to try and guess. Our lungs and throats are lined with little “hairs“ that trap foreign objects as a way to protect the airways. I wonder if these little hairs are trapping whatever carcinogens are in the products we inhale and since they are not friendly to our bodies the immune system sends white blood cells or antibodies to get rid of it. Perhaps it sticks to these carcinogens just like a splinter under the skin or a pimple and then tickles our throats to get us to cough it out. I’m not a doctor but that’s the best my layman brain can come up with. Maybe we should listen to our bodies because they are amazing miraculous machines. Thanks for reading my “two cents” if you got this far ☺️

Tonsil rocks

Great description!. It is not smooth like mucus from a cold. Sometimes I swear they are 1mm balls of infection covered by clear mucus. They are so close to the top of my throat that several times barely half of a cough will send it flying out onto the ground before I can get my hand to my mouth. Some try to tell me it is from my lungs bcuz I smoke, others say post nasal drip. Now I am exploring a non-acid reflux causing the mucus. But that doesn't explain the 'caviar' texture. I asked the doctor if he could send it to a lab to test for infection (or cancer) and he just laughed. For all I know it could be tuberculosis symptoms in a healthy person bcuz no doctor cares to find out. And FYI, I am 97% free of dairy, wheat, sugar, meat. The anti-inflammatory diet for my other issues has had little effect on this throat blob..
