Hi I am 23 years old and for the past 2 weeks I have been having a lot of cramping and a thick white mucus discharge. I am about 10 days late for my period. I just stop taking the depo shot 3 months ago but my periods have been regular for the last 6 months could the depo be the cause of my discharge, or could I be pregnant. I had sex a week before my period was to start so I'm a little scared, can someone help.

Hi! If you had regular periods and had unprotected sex just a week prior to your period, then you shouldn’t have gotten pregnant.
Getting of any form of contraception can interfere with your menstrual cycle but I am not sure why it would happen now when it hasn’t when you stopped taking shots. It does take longer time for women to get back to their normal patterns and this may be one of the irregular patterns. Have you had a hpt done?
Anyway, considering your period is 10 days late and you are experiencing this white mucus discharge that some pregnant ladies have at early days, I would recommend you did a home pregnancy test.
If it shows negative, then it is probably depo or a hormonal imbalance.

ok I have a question im not on birth control or anything but i was late last month and took a pregnancy test it was negative im not late yet this month im supposed to be starting soon but i have the thick whit mucus stuff do you know what that could be from, can i be pregnant and the test last month be wrong ??
