Hi, my CT results are abnormal. It turned out that my pain is caused by a kidney stone. What should I do about this? Are CT results confident?

CT results are pretty confident, you don’t have to worry about that. They provide images of many types of tissue. You should ask your doctor about kidney stone therapy. S/he will decide what is better for you- to have a surgery or some other way of breaking that stone and pushing it out. CT results show exactly how many stones there are and how big they are. Beside kidney stones, many things can be determined on CT scan, such as cancers or injuries inside the body. CT results are so effective, that they often prevent need for surgical biopsy or invasive exploratory surgery. You should drink many fluids, because if your stones are small, they could be expelled through your urinary tract.
