The saturday before Thanksgiving my boyfriend and I had sex, he was in for two minutes then pulled out but didn't come. From that moment till the Friday after, I was feeling like I had the stomach flu so I told my mom. She told me to go to the clinic and they ran a pregnancy test..it came out negative and they diagnosed me with the stomach flu. My mom saw on an article that the morning after pill works 5 days after intercourse, not just 3 so I went out to get it and took the pill. Soon after I was feeling better, the next morning I woke up feeling a little sick so I took a pregnancy test and it came out negative. So I did what I was suppose to do when you have a stomach flu and I feel a lot better than I did last week. One problem though, I keep having this dark brown discharge and it's thick like i'm bleeding. I took another pregnancy test two nights ago and it came out negative as well. I haven't felt sick and my bowl movements are normal (during Thanksgiving week, I had literally no bowl movements and I ate lots of hot food which would probably be the reason why I still felt sick). I don't really know what to think..I have one more pregnancy test that I could take. I ruled out chlamydia because i'm not having any backaches, stomach pains, nor burning. My period is due soon though so I don't know. Help please :S
The morning after pill is supposed to be taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex, but could still work up to 120 hours (5 days). Either way, whenever you take it, it can cause heavy bleeding or mess with your period in a variety of ways. So that's one option. And since he didn't come inside you chances are slim that you're pregnant, however, it's not impossible- I can't recommend condoms and/or the pill enough.
But here's another thing- pregnancy tests can't pick up the hormone that presents in your system when you're pregnant only a week after you've had sex. So you might want to wait until it's been at least 14 days, but even better, until a day or so after your missed period.
