I've been on Adderall for two weeks tomorrow, beginning with 5 mgs twice a day and now up to 10 mgs twice a day. In some ways it's working really well - I used to have this hailstorm of thoughts coming down on me all the time, and now my mind feels much more focused. I do still forget things, but I have coping skills for that. I'm also so much less impulsive, which is a godsend.

Something interesting I've noticed, and I don't know if this is good, bad, or indifferent, is that my breathing rate decreases while I'm taking the meds. My resting heart rate is almost twice what it was without them, but my respiratory rate is half what it was. I'm very fit, so the higher respiratory rate puts me up to high/normal (80 bpm as opposed to 40), but the respiratory rate is 5 breaths per minute, compared to an average 10-12. It's weird. I'm also sleepy sometimes on it, though I have no trouble staying up too late (which could be part of that, in addition to not eating much).

Anybody else have this experience?
I've been feeling the same way ever since I started taking the 20 mg almost three weeks ago. My breathing has noticeably changed from even, paced breaths to short, choppy breaths. Also experience the chest pain side effect but i'm use to it now so I hardly notice.
