Hi,

I randomly came across 40 carrots serum, which is a carotene antioxidant serum which is paraben free and supposed to be great for stressed out skin, which I definitely have at the moment. Is this a good pre-Christmas present to give to myself? Does it really work or should I go for another kind of serum? I have always heard that carrots are great for the eyes and skin so I am intrigued and this product has caught my attention. It's always nice to hear from experienced users though, so I thought I would try asking here.

Thank you!

I have not used this myself. I did look up some reviews, however, and many people are saying that the 40 carrots serum either makes their skin break out, or has a drying effect. There are also complains that the serum feels sticky and does not absorb well, which is not a good sign. You should also be aware that the 40 carrots serum contains peanut oil, which is of course a no-no for anyone who is allergic to peanuts. I do wish they would make that more clear.

I hope some people with experience with the 40 carrots serum will reply as well.

Yes, and I love it!!! No product is going to work for everyone. I will say that I did break out in the first week of using the 40 carrots serum, which is something you can generally expect with any new product. Since then, minor acne scars I had have faded, I had some pigmentation under my eyes that has gotten a lot better since using the serum, and my skin has a healthy glow to it. I use it once a day before moisturizing, after cleansing. I got it on sale myself, and I think you can regularly find very good deals on this product. That it works for me doesn't mean it will work for you, but that's the same with any product really... you will never know how it works for you until you try it for yourself.

It does have a 'tightening' effect on the skin as it dries, and this is what I love most about the product, to be honest. Some people say they do not like it because of this, but I do not agree with them. What others call drying, I call firming. I use it under my moisturizer so there's still moisture coming after the serum. Another thing I noticed, except the fact that my skin looks more radiant and firming, is that my skin is less oily than it used to be. I don't like the pump much, I will say that, but overall this is a product I like and will most likely be repurchasing when it runs out.

No, haven't tried it, but I'm interested. I can see here that I can get that stuff from Amazon UK for £37.27 plus sending costs. I'll be honest and say I think that's a bit on the high end, considering people are saying stuff about it being sticky. Compare that to OZ naturals which got vit C and Hyaluronic Acid and amino acids, which costs £15.95, and I think, yeah, perhaps I'd rather look elsewhere. Camden Cosmetics London has one too, vit C + Hyaluronic Acid + Vit E, that one is £13.47 right now with free sending in the UK, though it usually costs a fair bit more. So all I am saying is, there's better offers out there than this one.

I have the 40 carrots serum and I am very impressed with it. My skin looked better almost instantly and I am not exaggerating, nor am I paid to advertise the company. When I use it, my skin looks calmer and more put together if you will. In addition, the benefits build up over time. I started off with wacky skin that was showing the first signs of aging (early 30's) but that was also subject to breakouts and then redness sometimes. I just look more even now, and am less afraid to run to the store without a full face of makeup. The 40 carrots serum was worth it for me.

I have been using the 40 carrots serum for,... 4 months now? It took a while to get used to the fact that I now had to add another step to my skincare regimen, but yielded great results. The serum does not feel particularly good while applying it, a bit like sticky honey. But my skin looks so much better now. I look younger, have less visible wrinkles, and have very clean looking skin. I have also noticed that my skin is simply a lot softer than it was before. I can't stop touching it! Which I know is bad, but anyway. Yes. Like!

I'm looking at the 40 Carrots Retinol-Rich Skin Care Carrot Acai Sleep Cream at the moment. Is that what you guys are discussing, or is it another product? They have quite a range anyway, and the eye gel also looks quite appealing. Has anyone used that perhaps? I was looking for something with retinol to freshen up my skin anyway so I hope this serum will do me some good. It doesn't seem to expensive either, at all, which is always a nice bonus!

I wanted to come in here and tell you that I have been using the 40 carrots serum for years now. Ever since I first came across it and bought it on a whim, then realized that it did amazing things for my skin, I've been buying it on discount whenever I see it. I use the 40 carrots serum daily, after cleansing and toning and before moisturizing, and believe me that it has made my skin look younger as well as tighter. I'll see 50 this year but don't look it and I do credit this serum for that in part. It is awesome.
