I have had a small vaginal discharge with no odor or discomfort for a while now. I haven't had my period since the end of January, am not very active sexually (first and last time was in feb), I have taken multiple pregnancy tests so its not that, is there something else wrong?
For you period too stop that long, this isn't your regular wonky period. I would hazzard a guess that it is something hormonal. As if it was cystisis of the ovaries, you would have MAJOR symptoms, same with endemiterosis. So go and get checked out by your family doctor, a simple blood test should be all that is required. And don't worry hon, he/she will probably put you on the pill probably Provera, it has the best chance of regulating your periods. You probably have too much male hormone - o.O - but it will regulate you out. Let me know what the doc says OK? Good luck hon, and don't worry, There are MANY women on here with the same problems, it just takes a little work and getting the right mix and dosage.
Just following up, went to the Dr they did a blood test, nothing irregular with my hormones...slightly low potassium and borderline high cholesterol but nothing that would affect my cycle. They also did a pap I'll have those results next week...
Thankyou for the update, did they do an ultrasound for you? After the blood test shows no hormonal problems then it HAS to be cystisis of the ovaries. Ask them for that OK? There are many young women on here that have had this diagnosis, and it can be treated. Did your doctor mention about putting you on any progesterone or anything?
nope she said that if nothing came back from these tests that they would do an ultrasound but she was on vacation this week so another dr went over my blood test results and said there was nothing there. There was no mention of putting me on anything.
>;) I tell ya!! These doctors, anyway that's usual they don't like to step on other doctors toes. And don't send you for anything without their permission. So as soon as she gets back ask her for one OK? THEN when that result comes back, then ask what they are going to do? Don't stand for mediocre OK? If they aren't doing what you need, demand it!
well doc called. said the pap came back fine. Since there is no signs of anything wrong from any of the tests she just wants to put me on Yaz and said to call in 3 months...
Well I knew your pap would be OK! can you call her back and ask for an ultrasound?! Yaz makes your periods LESS!!!!!!!!
Hi there, like bambi was asking, did they say that they would try an ultrasound since you've already had the tests come back and they were negative just like they'd expected? It sounds to me like they said they would so for them to change their minds now seems a little odd. Let me know, okay?
She initially said that if everything came back as nothing she'd do the ultrasound and figure it out from there. Once the tests actually came back she called and said "well we'll try BC to see if that will jump start it if not call me in 3 months" I'm not really sure what to think kind of seems like she just wants me out of her hair for a few months, but I guess its good that it wasn't anything that came back in the tests? The discharge I was getting has drastically slowed so I guess I just have to go with what they're telling me right now.
I don't think it would be a bad idea to see if you can talk to another doctor about this. I think that if you feel like you're being shuffled away by a doctor then that might be true. Is there another doctor you can see about this for a second opinion?
