Hello i have the same and my mom yells at me because of my discharge is wreckingh my knickers. What can be done about it.
Plz help me (im 13 and a virgin is this normal)
Don't post on things if you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.
ANYONE?
it's because the vagina has a very high acidic level, higher than acid rain. The vaginal discharge is bleaching out the dyes in your underwear. I have this issue all the time and it makes me sad that all of my cute panties have a big white bleached blotch in them.
I get it to and I am only 15 years old. But my mum is always getting angry at me saying that its from my period and that i don't clean my undies properly. Does anyone have answers on hot to stop it or is it just normal.
I know this is an old thread, and an American one too, but I just thought I'd say I'm so grateful for all the work you guys have done on this and researching it. I've dealt with the same discharge for ages. I asked my doctor and she told me that it's perfectly normal, just my internals cleaning themselves out and that I should only be worried if the colour changes, or it starts to smell different or stronger. She recommended that I wear white or cream undies (although you can get away with both light pink and light blue I found) without any worries.
For when I have to wear black undies I bought some really thin knicker-liners (underwear liners) and I wear those when I have to have black underwear on with an evening outfit or something. It's not a great solution but it means that most of my undies aren't stained because they're a light colour anyway and that my black underwear is not bleached either. For those 'special' occasions with the black lace and what-not, I've found that you don't really wear sexy undies all that long anyway so the bleaching isn't a problem :p.
Thanks again ladies! Trans-Atlantic health help!
ohh okay thankz i was gtting a lil worried but then i found this reply .. now i feal m uch better in a way still kkind of cirous
I know it's been a little while since you've posted this but I think this is something that most women find confusing and weird but it's really quite normal and healthy. In fact, it's a sign of your fertility cycle. You see, there's a lot more to our cylce than simply menstruation itself. Look up "The Billings Method" it explains it very well
It's not the most economic solution, but I wash my underwear twice, once on a heavy duty cycle with a stainlifters detergent, and once on a regular cycle. warm first, than cold. It's always worked since then.
I am only young and my 14 yr old friend who has started her period never got it! I felt like I had something wrong with me! When I get changed at school I feel so self conscious as I always where black underwear. I am also overweight so that doesn't help either. I really heavily discharge and I hate it! Apparently your not supposed to where pads cause you can get something called the yeast infection which is not nice! TRUST ME! I still where them though!
I did a bit of googling and read that the vagina, because it is self cleaning, has some "helpful" bacteria called acidophilus that produce hydrogen peroxide. Apparently it prevents yeast infections and other "harmful" bacterial infections. Hydrogen peroxide that's produced can discolour fabric. Maybe some women have more acidophilus than others? I don't know. What I do know is that I get the bleached undies but have never in my life had a yeast infection or any other type of vaginal infection so for that I am thankful and will just accept it.
This has been happening to me for years. I just assumed that it was normal, and probably due to vaginal discharge. I don't know why people are so keen to assume that they're special and/or freaks.
