Hi.. I'm 17 years old and have had these spots on my penis for some time... I notices it first in grade 5 or 6, long before the first time I had sex. I have been to nervous to approach my parents or a doctor about it due to the fear of the spots being cancer. I've been reading some information on these topics, but one thing I cant see on here is if Fordyce's spot's ever puss. Sometimes, when the spots get larger I can physically squeeze them and puss will come out. Is this Fordyces or something different?

It could actually just be an ingrown hair folicle. I have one too, and my doctor says it happens sometime, when a hair grows wrong, and the skin forms a bump. It goes away, but just keep it clean, that's all I can say >.<

Just wanted to say that yes Fordyce spots CAN contain the almost "zit-like puss". Some do, some don't, usually the larger ones contain it.

how do you get rid of them when they get bigger i have one that got really big and wont go away it is really irritating and becoming painful it started swelling up about 3 years ago

There are a couple of ways to get ride of them. But, doctors do not recommend them because the benefits do not out way the risks. Theys are lotion like gel that you can apply like Tretinoin, or Isotretinoin. they will come back once you have stopped the treatment. you can also try Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA) chemical peels. Again, will also reapear once stopped. Surgical diathermy or electrosurgery, or Cryosurgery or cryotherapy are also options. or you can try taking vitamins, they might go away after a sustained period of time. they get red and swell up due to irritation or bacteria, like a zit. they best thing that you can really do is to not scratch or mess with them and just leave them alone

I was unaware that there was actual treatment to get rid of them but it does sound like the ways to get rid of them would be pretty painful and difficult. When it comes to genitalia you have to be a lot more careful with the skin. I hope that you'll continue to give us some insight. THanks!

You can also get Vaporising laser treatments such as CO2 laser, Diathermy or liquid nitrogen freezing, Pulse Dye Lasers but those are all pretty expensive and seem kinda painful but i also came across something called CU-Skin not sure if it works but has anyone used it and if so does it work please let me know

I know I'm late at answering, but I'm exactly the same! Dont know if its puss but its a white/puss like subtace that comes out when I give them a squeeze. And iv approached my dctor, she says its percectly normal, hope this helps man, still not comfertable myself, and it has been YEARS

Don't worry about it man, I have the same thing. I've had it since freshman year of high school. Once in a while one spot will raise and have puss. I usually don't like to mess with it just because I don't want to take the chance of having it become infected. It's normal and there is nothing to worry about!

I'm 22 and had noticed fordyce on my shaft in 6 grade and I had been sexually active early on so I tripped out n thought I had herpes. I would advise don't pick at em, but as I grew they became more noticeable on the sides n on top my shaft n didn't go past my cercumcision scar. Since I realized they weren't herpes they don't bother me at all. But if u have any redish with puss bumps any we're in the crotch region it could be molluscum cantagiosum(google it) ant that is a STI(sex. Trans. Infection) it is treatable and can go away completely but eczema comes with that n they can spread easily and anywhere you scratch. That's y I advise don't bother fordyce even if ur bored n just wana scratch your nuts. Get checked out for molluscum cantagiosum if any bumps grows large as a pencil eraser or bigger ,and they're usually filled with waxy whited puss in some people or clear puss that gives them a pearl like appearance. And they can go away on there own but I'd get tha medication to speed up the process so you can get back deep in sum cooch. N don't popem they can leave craters n scars just get the medication.

And one more thing I noticed the fordyce on my lips much later they bacame noticeable in 9 grade after my 8th grade summer which also tripped me out cuz of being sexualy aktive. I saw on google sum people have a bit larger fordyce papules(each single white bump) then others but like I said b4 if it aint herpes it duznt bother me. And to add to that I only recently realized it wasn't herpes I went on for years(about 4)thinkn I had herps n socking people who talked sh*t. With fordyce u learn who ur people are and who will b ther for u even if u had herps I'm glad I have fordyce lifes a trip. I got my swag back n to people with herpes u should stay up n don't let people bring you down at all cuz lifes short n a positive mind will get u far u can still have everything you want in life with or without herpes REALIZE that ,lifes short f**k whoever won't be ther for u and bring those who were there for you with you wen you reach success. Plus 65-90 of the EARTHS population has herpes type 1(cold sore)which can pread into genital herps and type 2(genital herps) so evryone has type 1 type 2 is only around tha corner waitng to spread if u don't use ur brain pick n choose ur bit***s. I hope this helps everyone lookin 4 an answer to why they have to deal with fordyce,molluscum, or herpes lifes what u make it with the hand ur dealt sum of the richest people in tha world have herps and or worse infections. One more thing easy chicks are the ones who may have herpes or will catch it sooner or later cuz sum people really do think thatll never happen to me instead of being smart about it. And on tha otherside a quiet chick might have it due to low self esteem I would say go for chicks out of ur league(by any standard)wether she's rich or just fine as hell,or smart as hell cuz confidence is what gets girls wet.
