i have journals that i am writing for jj and abby
(have not started hannah's yet)
that chronicles their life from my eyes
i write periodically telling them about important things
i plan on giving it to them when they turn 18
should be interesting when they read them

Nope. I'd have nothing exciting to tell it.

I've been journaling on and off for years but not always consistently. I find it really useful when I'm working through a problem that I can't separate from enough to be objective about it. As a clinician, I highly recommend using one!!

The wife found a calander she kept from our first year of marrage. That was BC (before children). It lists movies we say etc. I think we have only been to the theater a handfull of times since kids.

no diary, but I keep a log at work for my own protection..... and was thinking I might need to use it today. So far, so good.

Not regularly, but I do. There's also a joint journal of made-up words/expressions that gets written in pretty regularly.

You would use a log on a kid? That's gonna leave a mark!

I have a journal (sounds more grown-up) and like genie, I'm sporadic in writing in it. Sometimes it chronicles my day. Sometimes it reflects my state of emotions. Sometimes I write about the children. Sometimes I write for the children thinking that they'll read it when I'm 95 and have a better understanding of who I am.

You might have to read it when you're 95 to understand who you are.
