The only way to determine if it is a tubal pregnancy is via ultrasound. By approximately 6 weeks you should have discomfort or pain in one sie or another if it is a tubal pregnancy, and by 7 weeks they should find something on an ultrasound to know if the pregnancy is in the uterus or not.
