I went in for a CT scan to rule out kidney stones ( I had some back pain). I was then notified by the urologist that they found a large amount of lymph nodes in my insides. He said that the lymph nodes went all the way from my lower intestines to my lungs.
I am trying to be open thinking about this. I have two small children. I am only 31 years old and I am very scared.

Hallo,
The lymph nodes are very important part of our body and they help us with infection and similar things. The lymph nodes tend to get enlarged when you have some sort of infection in your body. Now the facts that you have lymph nodes active in your body might indicate that you have some sort of an infection present. You should test your blood and your urine to see what might be wrong with you. The good thing is that your lymph nodes will get back to normal as soon as your body is rid of infection. Sometimes they can be enlarged due to a cancer. This is also an option that you have to consider. Good luck.
