To be honest with you all, I am scared to death.
I went to the doctor today and he informed me that I was in the 10% that had horrible hemorroids and the only way to have them removed is with surgery. He said they were third and fourth degree. That was not what I needed to hear. I was devasted and began to cry. I have been so afraid to have this procedure done, my father had the surgery and told me it was some of the worst pain he has ever experienced. I am a mother of three and I have been dealing with this problem since my middle daugher was born, she is now 15 years old. I guess I need to have it done, but I don't know that I can deal with it.

Any kind of surgery can be scary. But if the Doctor says you have to have the procedure done, then you really should. What was excruciating for your dad may be different for you. We all have different pain tolerance, some can really take a lot then there are those that can't handle the slightest bit.
With the drugs out there that you will probably get after surgery, you probably won't feel much of any thing.
You have had 3 children, how painful was that. o.O
You will feel so much better in the end (sorry) and it will be so worth it for you. It is easy for me to say, but try to relax about it and get it done for yourself.
