A few months ago I had severe pain in my left breast, then it turned red, then it swelled an enormous amount. After a mamogram and ultrasound showed no unusual symptoms other than more mass in one breast I assumed it must just be hormones. The doctor said it sounds like it's something symptomatic. now this past weak my left side of my face started to hurt severly and after a few days my cheek between my gums and nose are swelling enormously and red, and my left side of my nose seams numb or cold. It doesn't seam to respond to the anti-inflamitory medicine from my doctor. I'm concerned I may have contracted some kind of rare inflamitory disease. The inflimation has permanetly effected the size of one of my breasts, and I'm concearned my face may not return to normal after the pain and redness have left, just as my breast did. I had a boyfriend about 11 months ago, he had the strange appearance of having almost "chipmunk cheeks". I'm concearned I may have contracted something from him, and my doctors don't seam to have any answers.
I am having pain in just one breast & there is swelling. It feels kind of harder than it used to. I am already 51 years old & past menopause, so I know it isn't my period. Did yours go away? What did the doctor say? I just read about something called Inflammatory Breast Cancer & now I'm getting scared. Don't have a decent job & don't have decent insurance right now, so stressed about if it turns out to be something really bad. Let me know what happened with yours!
