I'm not going to pretend to be 100% sure but here's how my weight's gone throughout my life and why...
1. I had a nice family that gave me full, healthy meals until I was around 10. Obviously didn't smoke weed. Wasn't an overweight kid.
2. Dad left, started eating weetabix then 2 meals of junk food a day until I was 12. Still normal weight/size.
3. At 13, stopped eating breakfast, either had no lunch or a ridiculously big lunch at school then a normal junk dinner e.g. pizza. Got fat.
4. At late 14 carried on that routine but started smoking a crazy amount of weed right from the get go. Back to normal size yay.
5. Still smoking and my body looked great. I believe though that this is due to me never having any money while I smoke up so I can only fully satisfy my munchies about 20% of the time.
6. 6 months ago dropped out of college and am eating no breakfast and 2 meals of junk again whilst smoking weed every day or . Nothing seems to be changing.
Decide what you want from that.

i personaly think smoking, depending on the person or type of smoker you are will regard you on if you lose weight. if oyur the kind of smoker who will smoke, eat junk food and play video games all day then yes you mostlikely will lose weight. but if smoke and go out and have fun with friends, play stoner games like stoner tag in walmart where your actually active then yes you will most likely lose weight.

I was 16 stone been smoking weed for about a month and now I'm 15 stone still losing and I find it to be a real motivator with my dancing, creativity, don't understand why it's not legal tbh....

i think its really different for everyone because i was high before and as soon as i was done i was soooooooo hungry and after i was full my body kept telling me to eat and drink ( pop) and i couldn't stop and the i got sick the next morning and had to go to chuch lol crazy

My boyfriend lost 5 stone in 1 year by smoking weed, purely because all his money went on it, he had no money for food and he was constantly smoking with no time to eat and constantly thinking about how to get it. I doubt there's any biological reason for the weight loss, more of a lifestyle things.

I have seen people mentioning that a weed smoker will lose their appetite when not high, this is only an effect that happens to everyday users over long periods of time, a dependency for being high to eat will not happen to an occasional smoker. And with the weight loss issue this is definetly something that varies with age, gender and genetics. Marijuana does not alter metabolism from what research I have conducted, from a young adult males perspective on weight loss. I have found that when first smoking daily your likely to gain a few kilos, this however will change after a year or two of smoking as you have built a strong dependency for marijuana(mixing with tobacco will make you much more prone to building a dependency for marijuana!) and you will have little to no appetite unless you are stoned, many people cannot smoke before the start of their day for various reasons, so your much less likely to eat during the day and will binge eat whilst stoned at night. This will lead to very bad eating habits and eventually bad health. The only way to break out of this while still smoking regularly is to force yourself to eat(I know its hard) in the mornings, once you have a meal in your stomach you are more likely to eat later on in the day as your body follows natural cycle. Good foods to eat are yogurt, porridge, fruits such as banana and other soft foods. Avoid heavy and carb high foods like bread at least for the mornings, as you get used to eating in the morning whilst not stoned you will feel like eating toast and cereal foods and you will stop feeling sick after two mouthfuls. Hello, I've been smoking about a year but before I was smoking I was gaining weight despite exercise and walks. As of the time period I spent smoking I have went from 123lbs to 97... I found myself eating alot and my weight would go from 97- 100 i noticed when I was out I had problems wanting to eat and as of the past 3 days I've been forcen myself to eat and am very irritable, but when high I over stuffed. I'm not gona say its all about the weed because I could stand to eat more meat and drink more water, but all I can say is have a balanced diet and smoke moderatly (if at all) . Yes its fun but im kinda unhealthy but im not sure what a doctor would do if he checks for it in my blood (Can someone tell me about what i should do for that?). Oh and I've also noticed lack of concentration and exercise.

I believe it depends on the person. I've seen both weight loss and weight gain accompanied with weed smoking.
