My son is an active soccer player and since he trains almost every day in the week he has to sustain injuries from time to time, it is simply inevitable. Anyway, he has been using Pentoxyfilline and I have heard some not so assuring things about this drug. Does Pentoxyfilline change the shape of red blood cells?
I have been using this drug several years ago when I had problems with cramps in my legs (entire area, from buttocks to feet). I must admit that Pentoxyfilline helped me a lot. And yes, its mechanism is based on changing the shape of red blood cells, making them more flexible, which makes the blood stream more freely in veins.
