im about to have a prostate biospy can you tell me if it hurts as im a baby when
it comes to pain also ive got a colonscopy due im just scared to what to expect

Be4 the biopsies r taken, u will b given anesthetic, which will b injected into the skin around where the biopsy needles will b placed.
However, u may still b in some pain and discomfort as the biopsies r being taken. This is considered normal as long as the pain is minimal.
After the procedure u may experience a sore rectum 4 a few days.
Or, u could experience light bleeding or spots of blood in ur stools, urine or semen.
If the amount of bleeding is small and it stops after a few days, this is considered normal.
Colonscopies, r 4 most, a painless procedure.
An anesthetic or sedation will b given - this helps induce relaxation and drowsiness.
Discomfort can be further reduced by taking slow, deep breaths during the procedure. This can help to relax the abdominal muscles, enabling the colonoscopy to progress more easily.

Hell Yes it hurts. Probably not as bad if you delay and have cancer. I went through it as do thousands of men every year. It takes under 5 minutes. I was awake for mine and drove home, no problem. It's no walk in the park, anybody that says it don't hurt lies. You'll be ok. If everybody else lives through it, you will too.
I just had one done today and it hurt like hell. That why I am checking out these forums to see if that is normal.
