Hi I have had endometriosis since I was 16, I'm now 42. The pain is severe. The only time it stopped was when I got pregnant,then for about 10 yrs. After. However, it's been back the last few years with a vengeance!! I cannot take the pain anymore, my Dr. Has put me on double depo shots every month. It's been 2 months and I've already signed the consent to do a complete hysterectomy next month. My family history of cancer is bad,every female on Mom's side have died from cancer. Ovarian,utirine, and my mom died last month from lung cancer. I'm scared but is it good for me to do this? I don't like pumping medicine into my body like depo every month. And since my family members have died between 40-60 I think this is a good choice but what are disadvantages and advantages? Please help me!! Thanks
