Hi. I`m 36 yo. I had dreaded rheumatice fever when I was a child, and even later, during my teen years. I was hospitalized when my blood pressure fell down. I was diagnosed with chronic hives. Later, I was fine. Now, again, the same problem. This rheumatice fever has returned, my joints hurt and don`t know should I be conserned about it. I have a kid and fear that my condition is genetic. He has a problem with stiffness in the hip and a fever too.

Hi. Don`t know much about that dreaded rheumatice fever, but hronic hives are one of the most irritating condition. But, fortunately, most hives are not hereditary. My relative had a problem with stiffness in the hip also and he was diagnosed with polymyalgia rheumatica. Some of the symptoms of that disease are fever, muscle pain, fatigue… Fever may be the only symptom in some persons. Polymyalgia rheumatica can be very frustrating if not treated.
