My Mother was hospitalized May 29, 2008 with a bowel obstruction. She was ready to come home and started acting like someone else. She was on a drug called remron. When she started this demize, I asked the Nurses if she was on her meds from home, especially remron. The Nurse told me that her LUNG doctor took her off of that. She never regained herself. Had seizers, never had before. Can you help me with this, give some answers?

Hi:
Was this the same doctor that prescribed the remron? Usually doctors will consider other medications so as not to interrupt another med schedule. Did he/she say if the remron would interfere with the bowe obstruction meds? It seems insensitive, like he doesn't care about the alzheimers issue. I'd go back to the original doctor, if there is another one, and get her back on the meds or another one that will address her other condition. She can't continue with the seizers. Is the gastrointestinal doctor ignoring these symptoms? This sounds so urgent to me. I'd get answers right away. It's so neglectful to have her in such a condition. Consult another doctor right away. Poor mother.....Get her the help she needs...I know you will...Good luck soon !
