I am 35 and had a partial Hysto a year ago do to endo. I still have both of my ovaries, they were not effeted and my bladder was put in to a mess sling - the endo attacked that. Prior to my surgery ( which It took my gyn 15 years of pain to finally give me a hysto) I had every painful bowel movements. My gyn told me that they couldn't help with that. Since my surgery I have had problems going to the bathroom-- but in the last month I have had really bad lower back pains and it scars me. Does anyone know what kind of doctor I need to see?

I had total hysterectomy in 2007 and kept both ovaries. Had ultrasound in 2012 and found cyst on right ovary. Was told to just leave it! Now in 2014 with crippling back pain which I had an MRI for they found I had various masses of possible endometriotic cysts and I should go back to Gyneacologist. Hospital never made me an appointment and now my doctor has referred me back to specialist for May 2nd. My groin kills me and back pain is awful is this my cysts? I have no abdominal pain except when coughing, need to pee lots more and concerned that it might now be a bit of a mess in my abdomen as it has been left. Not concerned if they need to take out ovaries but am concerned that I have. A lot of scar tissue!!!

I have the same, exact issue. For 2 weeks I was elated thinking my pain was gone. Then I ovulated. Now I am still in pain 5 days post ovulation. My back is killing me. Dr. Said he did not see endo. This time (I had an ablation 4 years back where he did see endo.).

I had a partial hysterectomy almost 10 years ago due to endometriosis and have been having lower back pain ever since, at times the pain is so severe that I can hardly walk. As a matter of fact I am in pain now, which has been on for over a week now. I wish someone could tell me what cause this and how long will I have to suffer like this.

Had a hysterectomy 10 years ago then diagnosed with fibro, uctd, tachycardia and in the process of being diagnosed they found a cyst on my left ovary 3 years ago. Now all of a sudden major pain sometimes can't even sit. Laying in bed I toss and turn because back kills me when I lay on back, lay on side and side hurts around to my kidney area this happens on both sides. I have an appt on May 20 and I am betting this doc is not going to believe that it is my endo back. At first I thought is was just the cyst and it was bigger but then my pain started on the other side and it has spread across my abdomen and sharp pains every time in the same places.

I have had 2 particle hysterectomy done over a period of 15 years and have had adhesions removed and endometriosis removed both times, the only thing i have left is my cervix and the pain I'm going through right now, I'm ready to snatch it out. The last part of my hysterectomy was both ovaries being basically smothered out with adhesions and attached to my bladder and hip bone. I could not hardly walk or lie down due to pain. Studio yes it comes back and was told it would come back. Get another opinion FAST.

I too at 42 had abdominal hysterectomy due to endometriosis and fibroids. July 2016 and now have been experiencing debilitating lie back pain to the point I can't sleep it hurts, walking or standing. Radiates to my hips at night. I stay in bed or home 2 days with heat and pain killers. I try to excersize I'll be fine one day next I can't move. Not sure if it's the adhesions from endo or pelvic floor prolapse or what but it's making life miserable. Wasn't this bad before surgery.

Hello I am 40 years old been struggling with my Endo pains since I was 20. Do to a diagnosis of Andomyosis and bladder issues in addition to the Endo I finally agreed to a hystorectomy. Recovery went well ando issues gone. My doctor was terrific and makes her patience stay on BC pills as a method to help control the Endo. She said new reserch is finding this helpful in keeping the Endo at bay. . I am religiously taking them but five months after my hystorectomy my severe back pain is back. She said she got all the leisans and there wasn't a ton of Endo so why would my pain be back already. Anyone out there have a similar situation? Anyone taking BC pills after hystorectomy. Any advise. I thought this was over or at least on a pause for a little while.

Is there anything that can be done to avoid this

I had a "ball" of endometrial cells the size of a gold ball, that grew on the inside of my C-section scar. That is what this sounds like. Get to you gyno & request a mri with IV contrast. That is how they determined what mine was.

I took bp pills for awhile and then went on progesterin. Never had a problem with it but it was 200$ a month (I took it every other day to make it last). If you have a family history of breast cancer, HRT is not a good idea. I don't have that history and I heard it helps prevent Alzheimer's (which I do have in family history). I had complete hysterectomy years ago and a scar tissue clean up by Dr. David Redwine in Bend, OR. (I live in NY.) Worth the trip and the short term surgery pain; he's amazing at endo cleanup. Saved my life and my sanity. I take Tramadol, 50 to 100 mg a day and it really helps abdominal and back pain. A LOT. Saved me. VERY IMPORTANT to take it continuously, like a half tablet every four to six hours if you need it. Set an alarm; has to be in your system to work, if you go on and off, you'll need more to meet the pain. Go to a reputable pain dr. Try smallest does and just keep taking it. I was amazed when i first found a good pain doctor. I'd been taking it during the day but not at night. Pain center told me to take half as much, no extra Percocet for really rough days. I was devastated. They said, trust us. I did. After two days with the lower dose in my system my pain was greatly minimized and I haven't needed anything stronger for 15 years. Also try to strengthen your core with pilates and do quadricep exercises (just google them). I think all my laparoscopies hurt my back, so get your spine checked out for source of additional pain.
Good luck, you got this!
