It started when I was about 16 years old, however it started off as bearable pain in my hip area that I was able to stretch out. The pain was sharp and felt as if my hip would lock unable to fully straighten my leg. However as time went on (5 years later) the Lin has become beyond excruciating and each time to pain lasts horribly long. It only started out as 5-15 minutes once every few months however has increased to 1-3 hours every other week of the most unimaginable pain ever. (I've torn my mcl and hamstring and the pain doesn't compare to this hip locking pain). It leaves me immobile stuck in one position until it decides to loosen up and stop doing whatever it is that is happening. I can't exactly describe the pain other than the worst pain sharp and sudden never know when it's going to happen usually when I bend down, roll over in bed or bend the wrong way. I've spoken to a physio therapist and he has never heard of this especially to the extent that I had received it. Not sure what it is and it's quite scary to do certain movements as I never know when it's going to happen. When it does happen I can't move at all or the sharp pain will shoot up my leg, my knee has to be bent and I have to be sitting up. Has anyone found a diagnosis !?! What's going on.
