I know that it is not uncommon for eyesight to become poor when you are pregnant but, what about after? My baby is already 6wks old and my vision seemed to decrease after having him not during my pregnancy. Should I be worried, could this be a permanent problem.
I just went the eye doctor yesterday. My baby is 10 weeks old now. From last year (before I got pregnant) to this year my prescription changed from -2.75 to -4.00. In just over a year. My doctor said this is because of the hormones from pregnancy and breastfeeding. She said once I stop breastfeeding my vision will go back to where it was.
She gave me a 6 month supply of contacts with the stronger prescription. She couldn't even give me the full prescription, because she said it was just too big of a jump.
Hope that helps!

I would really like to know if your vision went back to normal after you stopped breastfeeding. My baby is 5 months and I have heard this before and I'm really hoping it's true. Nothing wrong with glasses but I use to have 20/20 vision and now it hurts to look at things.
