Hi, this is my first week smoke free, after 11 years of constant smoking. I hope I will keep up like this, as I a on patch therapy. What other measures can I do to have greater chances to quit smoking?

Hi, I congratulate you on your success. It is your first week smoke free, and the beginning is the worst. When I was on therapy, I was nervous, anybody could make me angry, there were no patches at that time. Maybe you've tried some time before, since you now ask for extra advice for staying without cigarettes. Before I managed to quit, I’ve tried a few programs that were not successful. It would help if you could stay away from people who smoke, and not put yourself in situations in which you were smoking. Find some hobby or do anything that would interest you and make you think less of your need for cigarette.
