Hello all.... I am going to fly to Spain over the weekend and I have diabetic supplies I will be taking with me. I will have my meter, insulin, needles, and lancets, to name a few. So am I going to have a problem getting through security with all this paraphenilia?? I don't know if I need to have documentation from the doctor or what. I need to know as soon as possible as my flight leaves late Friday night. I am worried there will be a problem so I am getting there early to the airport just in case there is a delay in my getting through the gate.

Hello, Guest.... It would be great to go to Spain this time of year! I also know that you shouldn't have any trouble getting through airport security with your diabetic supplies. One thing to remember, however, is to keep the diabetic supplies with you in your carryon bag. That way, if you need the insulin, you can readily get it out of your belongings.
Are there any other forum readers that have taken diabetic testing supplies and insulin on board with them at the airport? Do you experience any trouble?

Hey, I don’t think you will have any trouble getting through airport security. They know many people are diabetic and should know to recognize insulin and needles and lancets in a diabetic supply kit. If not, they are dumb…lol. So just be sure to have them handy as far as when the airport security wants to look at the stuff, you can easily produce it and have them check it through. It will save you time and the hassle of getting through. Enjoy your flight to Spain! I heard it is beautiful there this time of year. I hope there isn’t any snow there where you are going to visit!
