I'm 16 years old, and I got my tonsils out on 6/20. The first day, I was completely fine, could talk, and had an appetite. But since then, I've lost my voice, and 10 pounds due to the fact that I cannot eat. I only took Tylenol & Motrin for the first 4 days, and haven't been in any pain above a 3, since then. How long will this last? It doesn't hurt to eat, I just have no desire to. And I can only get a few words out, before I begin to, literally, choke. I'm someone who talks a lot, and jokes around a lot, and I'm just really frustrated at this point. It's hard to convey what I want & need. What can I do to speed up the process of getting my voice back?
