how is it that i exercise and eat healthily but in the past 2 years ive gained 3stone???

It might not necessarily be you, but it could be misinformation you have received through the years about how exactly exercise and nutrition work together to help you lose weight. Not knowing exactly what you are doing, when people gain weight or don't lose, it has something to do with what you are eating, how much you are eating, and how much you are exercising.

For example, I have had clients who do an hour and a half of cardio, lift weights for an hour, barely eat 1000 calories a day, don't lose weight at all. Why is that? Because they are expending way too many calories than what they are consuming. The body thinks it is starving, thus it saves body fat which is emergency energy.

So, I would look at those three things first and foremost and go from there.

It could be many reasons. You do not need to exercise excessively to lose weight. A brisk walk each day is sufficient. You need to eat enough each day to stop your body going into starvation mode. Also, are you having a good breakfast each day?
