Been troubled with Gas in right side of body at end of day which will wake me up and keep me awake from 2.30am. Docs recone IBS, recone they don';y knolw. Diet has been addressed yet when on strict IBS diet it makes little difference. Ultra sound has shown sludge in gall bladder but I understand that gall bladder does not producer gas?

Hello, Graham.

Judging by your post it's very likely that your doctor is right and that you have irritable bowel syndrome. There are few varieties of IBS, so it must take a while until you feel some improvement. 

Do you have some other symptoms, like fatigue, mood disorder, tiredness or something like that? 

As for other part of your question, gallbladder really doesn't produce gas, but sludge in it can cause your problem.

Stick with diet, and also drink a lot of water, because it flushes the liver. Eat fruits (kiwi and grapes preferably) and green juices, especially a spinach which contains chlorophyll, natural purifier.

You, also, can eat a non gassy food, rich with proteins such as fish, chicken/turkey white meat and lean beef.

I hope that you will soon get your sleep back.
