I was yesterday in terrific pain with 101.0 fevers, I have a left foot swollen, red and inflamed, my arm from elbow down including hand is inflamed and swollen, and my other foot now is beginning to get sore. I feel like I have general body inflammation. I have a doctor’s appointment on Friday, but am going to try to go tomorrow. I imagine I will need a wheel chair to get there, I guess I will have to ask someone to come with me. Have anyone experienced this condition? What can be the possible cause?

Based on what you describe the condition that comes to my mind is "Polymyositis". Polymyositis is a chronic connective tissue disease characterized by painful inflammation and degeneration of the muscles and dermatomyositis is polymyositis accompanied by skin inflammation which I guess that you have too. These diseases result in disabling muscle weakness and the weakness typically occurs in the shoulders and hips but can affect muscles symmetrically throughout the body. I remember that guy who suffered from this condition also said that he felt like his body is inflamed generally. They usually occur in adults from ages 40-50 or in children from ages 5-15 years. I hope that the information provided here will help you; however you need to see a physician.

I have for some time now suffered frm back pain, pain in my legs then the shoulders and neck, I thought was related to a condition I was born with scoliosis, the later on in life liver related problems and finaly during the last 7 years I've had 3 kidney stones crisis and also highh blod presure, artritis with a high heart beat ,then a low one
My question since the liver and kidneys and the heart are involved here, my doctor told me I was plagued with inflamtion, I got a treatment that work for a while but now the symptons are back.
What exactly is my problem, and what treatment should I take?

sallis,

From reading your post, it sounds as though this was a very sudden onset. Keep in mind that fever & inflammation are often symptoms of a greater problem. It would be impossible to accurately diagnose your condition or narrow down the cause without ALOT more info. Your best bet is to get medical attention as soon as you can. Hopefully your doctor will see you tomorrow. If your condition becomes worse, get to the hospital or clinic. In the meantime, if your fever runs high, you can take acetaminophen (Tylenol) to help lower your temp. Drink lots of water to keep hydrated and hopefully flush your system of any undesirables. It would also be prudent to have a good friend on standby that is aware of your situation and willing to help.
