hey i have the same pimple in the bottom of my mouth on my gum lines. before eveybody starts assuming they have to have a root canal you should know there are other possibilities. im 22 and since the 6th grade ive had these pimples come and go. they are 100% connected with my sinuses and not root canals. i had a bad infection when i was younger that caused me to get my tonsils out and ever since then these have been comiing up. when we asked my ears nose and throat doctor he told us that these pimples are related to infections and bacteria that can be found in the mouth. they are not necessarily connected with tooth decay but more commoonly connected with common ailments, sometimes they hurt and sometimes they don't but take it from me ive had them for half my life and they never one indicated a root canal i have one right not and i know for sure it's not a root canal it's due to a sinus infection. so im not saying it is not a root canal im just saying look at other options before you jumo in a dental chair, because im pre-dental and honestly if a patient came to me with this problem i would think it was dental related therefore i would assume this is what the issue was but this is not always the case. i hope i helped.=.)

It sounds like there is something wrong with the root canal. I am not a dentist but what you're saying is similar to what I had.

hello , this kind of infections is formed when an infected tooth is not treated and thus bacteria will attack the nerve and then accumulate at the top of the tooth ,  i had noticed this recently so i went to see my dentist and he gave me some antibiotics , they actually helped a lot since the pus in the  gumboil started exuding and he recommended that i come back to have a root canal so that the gumboil would never come back again

Hi,

I too had the same problem. Puss filled pimple on the gum above right canine. With the first root canal sitting itself the pimple disappeared. Everything is fine now. All you need is a root canal.

I have similar problem but the gum where the pimple keeps showing up no longer has a tooth. The pimple is on my upper gum, left side, toward back of mouth. My dentist did not think it was an abcess bec he did an X-ray and the next closest tooth to it already had root canal more than 10 yrs ago. I also have seen an ENT and the CT scan they ordered was clear. My ENT has asked me to come in on a day when the pimple is at its biggest and she will do a biopsy. Anyone else have any thoughts?

You're lucky if it's not down the root. More likely antibiotics will take care of that once they scrape.

I have the exact same thing. LOTS of novacaine. After the crown was placed, my tooth feels bruised, like the tooth is too large and is twisting the root.

i to have same thing. Mine if any pressure is put between top gum by nose it will act up and fill wil pus. By the next morning its big sore and once it ruptures it feels so much better. Then gon again til next time. If it makes it feel better rupture it and rinse ur mouth n brush ur teeth. Awful odor and taste. Ive tried taking anti biotics with mine and does nothing for it. Best way for my pain to go away is draining.. Yes its gross and nasty but feels so much better.

Go see the dentist before the infection travels to your jaw bone.

I had a root canal on my two front teeth 18 years ago.  I now all of a sudden have a blister/pimple above my front tooth that was repaired.  12 years ago I had another root canal on the same tooth that the Dr. repaired 18 years ago because he did not get deep enough and left some root behind.  What do you do if you have had a root canal and you still get a blister above the tooth that you had repaireda?
