I was about 10 weeks pregnant and went to see ob gyn to confirm pregnancy was ok and how far along I was.  Had ultrasound done at ob gyn office but immediately was sent to hospital, why?

MD never told me if I was still pregnant or if I had another miscarriage. At the hospital they did tell me I was pregnant but right before the ultrasound I started spotting and a few days later heavy bleeding with back pain and cramps. I figured it was another miscarriage since I had already experienced this. But what shocks me more is why didn't the ob gyn say anything? Has anyone gone through this?
