I recently noticed a patch of hairless skin about the size of a quarter on the outside of my left calf. The patch is a bit paler than the surrounding skin, and has a crinkly appearance when pinched. The patch is also numb, and has no apparent change in depth in comparison to the surrounding skin. I'd assume it was a scar, but I've never been injured anywhere near that area. I'm curious do know if anyone has any idea what this could be. I didn't want to waste a sick-call visit if it's something well-known to be benign. The numbness is the think I'm primarily concerned about.
