I'm 17, and I found a hard lump, roughly pea-sized lump inside my scrotum. It is separate from the testicle, moves around, and is not sensitive to touch; however, I occasionally feel slight discomfort/sensitivity on that side of my scrotum. From what I've read, it's probably not cancer but a cyst of some sort, but I wanted a second opinion. I plan on going to the doctor fairly soon, just wanted to get another viewpoint. Thanks.
My husband has been tested for his non attached pea size lump. It turned out to be calcium deposit. You could probably google calcium deposit in scrotum and find some more information. It is not serious according to our doctor. Good luck.

Not usually a problem but they definitely need checking out by your doctor. Generally, once you've got one, you're stuck with it. They tend not to get worse but they don't go away either.
