It is likely your aorta you feel pulsing; you can feel it’s thick wall if you are thin.

I strongly suggest seeing your OBGYN. I have a lump that protrudes from my abdomen on the left side. I went to my regular doctor and she thought I had a hernia. A few months go by and the lump only gets larger and even harder. I finally went to my OBGYN and found out that it is a fibroid. Fibroids are extremely common for women and rarely cause an issue. They usually will shrink on their own especially if you're getting close to menopause. However sometimes they can grow to be quite large. I am extremely anemic because of it & that is not a good thing. Never wait when it comes to your health!!

It took me 4 pages of scrolling and reading to come to your reply!
FINALLY! :)
Major stress-head here, so obviously thought the same as 99% of people here were thinking too!
But, Laura is right! For the most part it's probably just stool! (poo)
In my own case, after an xray, I was told I had 'faecal loading' Basically the stool just collects moreso in that area as it's travelling through on it's journey! I've always had postural type issues, so the muscles in that side tend to get super tight, and in that process things do tend to get a bit 'backed up'....
For the record, my Mum had great delight in telling me that she's been telling me for years 'You're full of sh*t'! and it's now been confirmed! :)
But, if you're ever unsure of anything, PLEASE just go and see your Dr! Don't take advice from online forums. Sure, read other people's experiences, sometimes that can at least put your mind at rest in the meantime! But, always go to your Dr!
