good day, I am having problems with hidradenitis suppurativa on my back. it is visible, so I can't take off my shirt when I am at the beach at all. I want this to go away before summer comes, and I am not sure how to do that. I have tried some things, but nothing. I was reading about laser treatments and I found pros and cons. don't know what to believe in. it is pretty much expensive, but I am willing to try if it can help me. so, has anyone treated hidradenitis suppurativa with lasers? what are your recommendations?

Hi there. Whoever recommended you this type of the treatment, I must say that it is a really good thing because laser treatment has proven to be the most effective for all those patients who actually suffer from this. Generally, it is the most effective Hidradenitis Suppurativa treatment but you also need to know that you will have to pay for this surgery more than for any other type of surgeries. But I think that is worthy of every cent, that you won't make a mistake with it. Generally, I would suggest you consult someone before do that. Your dermatologist, at first.

Hi there, my friend had experience with this type of laser surgery, with a CO2 laser, and he told me that he is really thrilled with a fact how this surgery helped him. According to his words, only 2 percent of the problem was still there after the surgery, but he was able to treat it like any other skin condition - with medications and creams. For the first couple of days, he was using some antibiotics as well. This type of treatment is that it is suitable for everyone, and, excuse me, but I don't believe that this type of treatment is that expensive. What about the insurance?

I think that actually, lasers might be better for treating this problem, even better than classic surgery. It is also good because, in most of the cases, you really don't need to be worried about side - effects, since the complications from the most popular way, with a CO2 laser, are very, very rare. Sure, you can expect to see a bleeding, some discomfort, even an infection, so don't be scared, but also you need to know that this is uncommon. But also, you need to know that the healing process depends on the wound. If the wound is bigger, the healing process will last longer.
