I recently got put on antibiotics for a bacterial infection, and all of a sudden out of the blues I have a swollen/sore clitoris, a heavy build up of discharge and a lot of itchiness. I know it not an STD because i just got a pap and the results are negative. I have not had sex since the pap was done. I think it might be a YEAST INFECTION, but since I've never had one I'm not sure. Please Help!
The same exact thing happened to me, my doctor said it was a yeast infection due to the antibiotics i was taking for BV and gonorrhea, the pills work to kill the bad bacteria causing the infections and some time kill the "Good" bacteria in your vagina, causing a yeast infection. My doctor told me to try some over the counter products like Monistat to help get rid of the yeast infection. Hope this helps!!
