I had left hip replacement surgery in May, 2016. Prior to the surgery, I used a cane for one year. My recovery is normal, as is my latest x-ray taken last week. The physio therapist examined me and said that both legs are weak, and I need to do strengthening exercises.
I asked about my lower back pain, and was advised that surgery would not help and that this is common with HR surgery patients.
Now I have developed severe aching pain in my right hip/leg and down to my foot. It is quite severe, making it almost impossible for me to stand or walk for any length of time, even with my cane. Does anyone know if this is bursitis? Is this yet another side effect of the hip surgery?
