Hi. I do think that you are worried about nothing. The symptoms that you described don't sound very serious and may not even be related. If you did contract HIV, the test at 5 months would definately have picked it up.
Some people when infected with HIV have flu like symptoms 6-12 weeks after infection, but most people with HIV are asymtomatic ie there are no symptoms until they get full blown AIDS after 8-10 years.
The toungue problem could be thrush, try using a mouth wash morning and night

Ive woken up with a taste like pennys were in my mouth. And i also get the tongue thing. I went to the doc and he said i had a geographical tongue. This made little sense but I beleive him.

yes it did taste like I had a mouth full of coins and I also had geographic tongue...maybe I am worried about nothing but I can't shake the idea out of my head!
I doubt the tongue thing is thrush because I was trested for it and it didn't go away (this also made me think it was HIV), I think the tongue thing is more of a coating of some sort...it's not always there.

Mouth ulcers are very common, my husband gets them when he is stressed or tired. They are quite often not related to anything other problem.
Hello, I came across your post and I too am constantly thinking I have contracted the HIV virus. Although I have no symptoms, and my last test for all diseases came back negative...i sometimes get the feeling they switched my tests on accident. I also have a disease called Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I always think something is wrong with me, and I have wild and vivid thoughts about having diseases and having to live with them, I have even contemplated suicide. I just wanted to let you know that you might want to contact a mental health professional as well because i believe you can get some relief. hope this helps!

I'm sorry, I'm a bit confused...what do you mean? I was not trying to accuse you or diagnose you for having a mental disorder, just thought that my situation might help you...if it doesnt, I'm sorry.
