Well, another day. I started exercising some, really almost by accident. About 2 am Sunday night, I couldn't lay still, so said screw it, and hopped on a Gazelle [No I was hallucinating, its a ski type machine :) ] went until I was too tired to go any more. Did the same yesterday and will do so again today. I am paying for it with my back and shoulder pain, but at least it is no impact and I am going to hurt anyway.....
depression is better today, only panicked once during work, every-time anyone looks at me I feel like they know whats going on with me. Took another 10 mg of the Kratom after work to try and get some pain relief, it does help. Just waiting to get in for a MRI to try and get some shots for my back, damn insurance company is trying to say it is preexisting not gonna cover it...sigh

Hey, Shakes: get that exercise. I know, I have had shots in my neck, and its been awhile. I mountain bike and that irritates my neck; but of course I do it anyways as it clears my head. I only wish it would warm up. I am in Michigan and its still cold. Bummer on the MRI and shots....:( Your funny; I feel the same way sometime;, like people know what’s happening to me....lol....My depression goes up and down…..Just keep on pushing…..Peace out, Josh

Well, have had a pretty good day, pain has been addressed somewhat and really only my motivation is the hold back. I did have help from that kratom, but am very leary of using the product that is sold in the smoke shops. So I have order some pure leaf and have started to see what types are able to help me manage the pain. So far I have had mixed results using the kratom (mitragyna speciosa) I received. (although the capsules I bought here locally, literally turn my pain off like a switch, there are other affects that make this difficult to use and perform my work at the level I need to and again, I do not know what all is in them, hence the reason why I am trying the pure route). For any one else that wants to know more about this plant, I did find a good web site;
http://www.murple.net/yachay/index.php/Kratom
and
www.http://kratomassociation.org
Hopefully this along with the exercise and better diet I can manage...

Glad to hear your doing better, Shakes. Thanks for updating us. It's good to communicate with you guys. :) Also, thanks for the links... I was wondering what kratom was, but I'm simply too apathetic to google it. I hope this week goes well for you both.

Hi All,
I'd really appreciate some feedback about my own oxycontin situation. I've been taking it for a couple of years after a serious health issue, and currently keep taking it for pain control, under the control my doctor and the pain clinic at UCLA and one here in Auckland. I've been suspicious for sometime that at least some of the pain is coming from the drug and in the pursuit of getting off it for better health in general I'm always in a process of cutting back when I sense periods when the pain is less. Summer is better, winter is hell.
Several months ago I was able to cut my dose to half, from 80 mg x 2 daily, down to 40 mg x 2, and stabilized at that level with the pain running at about a 4, which was the most I could tolerate on an unending/ 24 hour basis.
I'm soon trying a more determined assault on getting off this but have a question about cutting back.
When I cut the does to half, with the pain level at a 4, I stayed at that level for 3 weeks and the pain abated no further, before I finally became exhausted and lifted the dose until I was comfortable again.
A lot of the pain I get is body aches, on a day that catches me by surprise, the aching pain can immobilize me, affects my ability to breath, and eventually my muscles contract without my volition. If I catch the pain before it escalates I'm ok.
I'll be quite frank, after reading on this and other forums I'm well convinced that the oxy is probably at the base of most of the pain, as my symptoms match closely what many others have written here. As a result I'm going back to the pain clinic next week to ask about getting off this with their help, and in addition I'm open to alternate health and am looking into kratom to alleviate withdrawls.
I've gone cold turkey a couple of times in sheer frustration, but can only last about 48 hours, the symptoms get overwhelming but I can fight them, what makes me go back on is that my blood pressure climbs high as I withdraw, so I'm reluctant to do this again without a doctors supervision.
My question is; as I cut my dose down, why don't the residual aches go away , even after weeks? Has anyone else had this? If they did I could simply keep trimming the dose down but I always reach this pain plateau I can't get past.
Many thanks,
William

Hi guys, thanks Internet for this forum. Ive been on Tramadol for more than a six years and a couple of months on Heroin, long period on Amphetas and E`s and also glue at the very beginning with my drugs experience . I didnt had any problems quitting Heroin, nor Amphetamines or Ecstasy, because I was up on Tromadols all the time. But now, when all that fun stops, and depression and hate over-helms me I am trying to quit all that drugs away from my life. I was a great person, with lots of friends and girls, didn't had much money, but I was a great person. Now I have more money, but I am single 28 yrs male addicted to Trams.
Today is my 11th day that I am clean, excepts some Marijuana tokes to easy my mental wd. I hope Im not gonna pin on Trams again, but that is gonna be hard... I am normal person and nobody knows of my problem. Even my personal doctor tells me how healthy I am, but I am not... My brain is week... depressed...
What I do to easy the pain:
1. 1-2 beers a day.
2. a lot of food, I am starving all the time
3. porn and masturbating (don't laugh at me)
4. lots of fluids and Green Tea
5. friends and family, talking about something, keeps your mind busy
and also a World of Warcraft, just as well to keep my mind busy...
6. day naps, because I cant sleep at nights from my restless legs... :(
I have fatigue, hallucinations, pain in the joints, can`t think right, short memory, lost a lot of friends, cant find a girlfriend because of my addiction...
I hope we all gets better, as we were before taking stuff... And keep posting on this forum, this is a great place for first hand information from people who wants to get better... And those who are willing to experiment with drugs - DONT!
Love ya all!

Hi, I just posted above you, and relate to much of your post, good for you taking these steps, it takes cahones to knowingly walk into withdrawal symptoms.
A couple of hints, restless leg syndrome is a common medical thing, try searching for it as a non drug related topic. others here have said bananas help as they're high in potassium.
Re the sexual side; a lot of these drugs, esp opiates depress testosterone production. Cutting back on drugs therefore makes one unexpectedly turned on. Enjoy, its a sign you're alive. tho, lol, keep up the multi vitamins to compensate.

Thanks for the support. I am the poster above you. Ive just woken up with a strange headache, but in general all is fine. I need days and days to cleanse my body from the toxins. I will go today in a gum, to stretch my muscles a bit, I will buy vitamins, bananas and a small stack of weed. Weed helps me a lot to get a good sleep.
Damn my brains hurting me... I am afraid that I cant be the same person again. I feel like somebody puts a heavy weight on my head and pressing down. Will that stop? I dont wanna to have permanent brain damage.

Hi guys,
wjmz, yes that sounds like withdrawal, be careful when asking the clinic for help stopping, they can provide other drugs to help, but they are just as addictive and in many cases worse, but I do recommend at least letting them know, you too Darky, let a doctor know, there are things they can do to help with some of the issue with WD, without the strong meds like methadone, etc. The kratom really helped me stop this time, although it does not seem to help everyone, but for me it stopped the worst of the WD pains. Every thing you are describing is normal, getting your body to start releasing endorphins helps the pain, your body knows this, hence the increased sex drive. Depression is a real concern, I hit this pretty hard about 4 days in, so you need to be aware this can happen. Form some folks a few weeks is all it takes to get better, for others it is several months of fighting, but it does end and get better.
Wjmz, yes I also believe the meds actually cause pain as well, but what it really is that your body is very highten

Sorry, got cut off on my last post ....anyway, when stopping pain meds, you are use to really not feeling pain, so any pain you do feel is intensified x5 during the WD phase.
Green Tea, this can keep you awake at night! So be aware of that!
Good luck and let us know how you guys are doing.
Peace and strength!

Ty Georgia for the reply.
I am glad that you are feeling better. I know how hard is to be addicted and cut off-cold turkey.
As first, sry for my poor English, its not my native, but I hope that isnt a big deal.
You are right about that I should visit a doctor, but I cant, my mother works in the health care and she is a well known person, It will be a scandal... But if I have some severe problems, I will go in another town hospital. Thanks for the advice about Green Tea. I knew that, and I only consume it after I woke up, In the morning or in the early afternoon. In the evenings I usually have a beer or two, or a spliff. Today I have a headache and a blurred visions. That isnt pleasant. Objects are moving in my head. I dont have physical need for painkillers, but mental. If I take only 1 pill of Tramadol, my headache and blurred visions will be gone and my mood will be better. But, nah, it aint gonna happened. Better be in pain for two weeks than in fake chemical happiness for years.
My real concern is that almost everybody in my town is using drugs... Some of them are heavily marijuana smokers, some of them pills addictive, some of them meth abusers. And all of my close friends do tramadols or meth. Its easier to find tramadols or meth than beer after gets dark. And they are very cheap. 20 pills of tramadols are 1 euro and a bottle of methadone is 5 euros. Its cheap. Also my best friend who has 1 yrs old daughter, I am his Best-Man is a heavily tramadol and marijuana user. I am with him almost every day, and past days I`ve started to avoid him... For my personal sake.
Stay strong!
